PATTERN ANALYSIS

Your fishing patterns based on logged data.

THE DATA-DRIVEN ANGLER

How to Find Your Best Fishing Patterns

Serious anglers know that tracking fishing success is the single biggest edge you can develop. Your memory is unreliable — a fishing log app isn't just convenient, it's your scientific notebook.

WHY MOST ANGLERS STAY STUCK

Without data, you're relying on gut feeling. You might remember the monster bass you caught on a topwater popper last July — but do you remember the tide, the cloud cover, or the exact time? Data does. When you analyze fishing patterns across dozens of sessions, the real triggers emerge.

THE 4 VARIABLES THAT MATTER MOST

1. TIME OF DAY

Dawn and dusk are productive for most species, but your personal log may reveal a different sweet spot for your local water. Some lakes fish better during midday thermal stratification.

2. WEATHER CONDITIONS

Barometric pressure drops before storms often trigger feeding frenzies. Overcast days are frequently better than sunny ones for predatory fish. Your data will tell you what holds true in your spot.

3. LURE / BAIT SELECTION

The fishing industry wants you to buy more lures. Your catch data will show you that 20% of your lures catch 80% of your fish. Find that 20% for your local conditions and double down.

4. TIDAL STATE

For coastal and tidal fishing, the incoming tide's first two hours and the last two hours of outgoing tide are classically productive. But patterns vary by location — only your log can confirm what works where.

HOW TO USE THIS APP

  • Log every session, hit or miss. Misses are data too.
  • After 20+ entries, visit the Pattern Analysis tab.
  • Look for your top lures, best weather conditions, and productive time slots.
  • Repeat what works. Retire what doesn't.
